For Programs

Promoting our most precious resource

A child is more than the parents' personal legacy. He or she is our society's future. We recognize our partnership in ensuring that the future, theirs and ours, is brighter than the present.

Missouri was the first state in the nation to develop and implement quality accreditation criteria for programs providing care and education for children. Missouri Accreditation accredits centers providing Infant/Toddler, Preschool AND School Age programs. Family Homes can also become accredited.

A child care program which has received Missouri Accreditation gives parents assurance that the program has worked very hard to achieve and maintain a high degree of performance. They'll be certain that the program prides itself on continuous improvement and feel that it has earned their trust and confidence. Our high standards offer parents confidence that their child is receiving exceptional care and education.

Setting The Standards of Excellence

When your program achieves accreditation from MOA, you become a member of a unique and elite group. A child care institution which has received MOA accreditation gives parents assurance that the program has worked very hard to achieve and maintain a high degree of performance. They'll be certain that the program prides itself on continuous improvement and feel that it has earned their trust and confidence.

Parents more readily trust programs that boast accreditation credentials from MOA. Our high standards offer parents unparalleled confidence that their child is receiving outstanding care and education.

The need for accreditation

You do one of the nation's most important jobs - teaching children. The future of the nation depends on how well we do this job.

Missouri Accreditation sets the standards that will ensure that the job is done to the best of current knowledge and ability. It protects the public's interest and provides a means to verify the quality of services rendered..

Obtaining Missouri Accreditation benefits an institution's faculty and administrators. The oversight and feedback that we provide can help you to constantly improve your skills and performance, so that standards - and child achievement - can continue to grow. As you improve the performance of your program, more parents will trust their children to your program. As confidence rises, so will the rates you can command.
